Juliette Bausor, Flute – Ruth Gibson, Viola – Catrin Finch, Harp
Juliette Bausor was ECHO’s (European Concert Hall Organisation) rising star in 2014. She is now Principal flute in the London Philharmonic Orchestra and also with London Mozart Players. Juliette plays in the chamber Ensemble 360 based at The Crucible in Sheffield where she is joined by Ruth Gibson, a violist.
Juliette’s invited guest was our Vice President, harpist, Catrin Finch who played a delightful programme scored for these three instruments. Indeed, Juliette and Catrin played here together in 2010 and enthralled the audience. We expected no less this year.

Katona Twins, Guitar Duo
The critically acclaimed guitar duo, Peter and Zoltán Katona effortlessly transfer from strictly classical, into more popular musical genres. They have given recitals in the major concert venues throughout the world including performances at the Carnegie Hall, the Wigmore Hall, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Suntory Hall in Tokyo, and the Philharmonie in Cologne.

The Albion String Quartet
A new acclaimed quartet led by violinist Tamsin Waley-Cohen
Tamsin Waley-Cohen (violin 1), Emma Parker (violin 2), Rosalind Ventris (viola), Nathaniel Boyd (cello)
A shared belief in the visceral, communicative power of the string quartet has brought together four outstanding performers of their generation to form the Albion Quartet. Tamsin Waley-Cohen is this year’s ECHO rising star and has already played in Vienna, Lisbon, Hamburg and Paris. They play a stunning quartet of instruments, including a Stradivarius, Amati, Guarnerius and Grancino.
